Get to know the 2020 Course: The Anderson Point Park loop

The Anderson Point Park loop will provide a little reprieve from the Crabtree Creek Greenway. This .79 mile loop will take you through an aid station (with bathrooms), the halfway mark, and the 7 Mile mark. And you’ll have a nice downhill coming out of it! 2020 Raleigh Half Marathon Course Preview Run

Want to preview the 2020 Raleigh Half Marathon course with the Sir Walter Running team? This is your chance. 7 weeks out from race day, we’ll have a group run, starting at the starting line, near Gateway Plaza Raleigh (located at 2411 Crabtree Blvd, Raleigh, NC 27604), at 8am on Saturday, January 4, 2020. The 2020 Raleigh Half Marathon course may be new, but where the course runs is not. Well, not if you have run the Sir Walter Running Strava Challenges in the past. “Mt. Greenway” was part of the 2018 Tour de Walter, and introduced many to the section. This is where athletes will face Pump Station Hill, aka Mount Greenway. New Year, New Raleigh Half Marathon

Yes, it’s back. And we’re excited. The inaugural 2019 event was a big undertaking, and for the most part, things went well. A few things could be improved and we have done everything in our power to get those things right for year two. What are those things? Parking – 750 spots, courtesy of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina.
