Dusting off an old Strava Challenge

The 2020 Raleigh Half Marathon course may be new, but where the course runs is not. Well, not if you have run the Sir Walter Running Strava Challenges in the past.

“Mt. Greenway” was part of the 2018 Tour de Walter, and introduced many to the section.

This is where athletes will face Pump Station Hill, aka Mount Greenway.

If you’re planning on racing in February, this will be a great place to do hill repeats. It’s a longer climb on the front, and steep down on the back (and reverse on the return).

Once you crest the back half on the way back, you’ll pass the “Tree of Truth” and have a nice long downhill, only 1.5 miles from the finish, which is ENTIRELY flat!

Bonus points for rewarding yourself at Mordecai Beverage Co., Union Special Bread, or Gateway Restaurant after your workout!
