Want to see what the Raleigh Half Marathon course is like in advance of race day? Want some Pine State Coffee before? Want to test an aid station? We have you covered. And if you’re doing the Official Training plan, you have 10, 13, or 15 miles anyways!
On Saturday, March 2nd, we’ll head out to Buffaloe Road Athletic Park with a big ole jug of the Sir Walter Blend from Pine State Coffee and will set some water and sports drink cups up around the 5k mark.
What’s the Sir Walter Blend you ask? Pine State Coffee’s resident roaster and 1:19 Half Marathoner, Larz Robison, has crafted an excellent light to medium body roast that is perfect pre-run, pre-race, or just when you want a great cup of coffee.
Coffee starts flowing around 7:30am. Run will “unofficially” start at 8am at the starting line. Here’s more about the course, and here’s the Strava route (PS. Join our Strava Club).
We just ask that you RSVP, so we know how much water and sports drink to put out! And no, you don’t have to be registered in the Raleigh Half to participate!
Afterwards, feel free to stop by Pine State Coffee at 1614 Automotive Way, Raleigh, NC 27604 and pick up your own bag of the Sir Walter Blend, as well as some Strong Arm Baking Co. treats, and another cup of coffee…
